Apple has officially kicked off its next major product cycle, and its September 2026 event delivered some of the company’s biggest hardware announcements in years. Apple Watch Series 12 Focuses on Health and Intelligence
Apple Watch Series 12 received a substantial health-focused upgrade.
The new model introduces Apple’s Health Sensing System, which Apple says provides its most accurate heart-rate sensing in a wearable.
The watch can now measure heart rate every five seconds throughout the day, while higher-frequency heart-rate and heart-rate-variability measurements contribute to new health and fitness features.
One of the most interesting additions is Readiness.
The feature analyzes recent activity, training load, sleep and vital signs to provide users with a daily indication of how prepared their body may be for the day ahead. Apple presents the result through recommendations such as Recover, Pace Yourself, Ready or Go For It.
